Meet Lisa

When I was in college working toward my degree in health education, I started working part-time as an “acne technician” with a well-respected dermatologist.  I found myself truly enjoying the opportunity to help people who were struggling with acne.  Acne can cause emotional pain and by helping the patients clear up their skin, I witnessed an improvement in their self-confidence too!  Being in service this way, was incredibly rewarding for me.  

I continued in this work while completing my degree, then my life took a turn.  I got married and moved to Maui, Hawaii and decided to return to school, to formally study esthetics.  I loved the training I received which was a holistic approach to caring for people through skincare. We had fascinating visiting educators teaching us how to incorporate natural treatments like papaya enzymes, essential oils, and specialized massage techniques with a whole-person approach. Taking breaks under a Banyan tree was its own teaching, influencing me on the importance of creating a nurturing environment. 

After becoming licensed I went to work at a prestigious 4-star hotel and started my experience in the spa industry.  I rose through the ranks to become the lead esthetician, responsible for training and management of the esthetics staff.  It was exciting to work with people from all over the world who came to see us. As a result, I learned to treat a broad spectrum of skin types with people from many different ethnicities.  It was an amazing experience on so many levels! 

Subsequently, I returned to the Los Angeles area where I dedicated myself to advancing my skills and knowledge in all things skincare.  I had the opportunity to work with leading innovative cosmetic formulators, top spa management professionals, and dermatologists.  I loved the clinical environment of the dermatology practice and the nurturing environment of the spa and was fortunate to be able to work in both concurrently.   

Opening my skincare studio was an exciting new opportunity!  I could now bring my extensive experience, knowledge, and skills together to create transformative skincare treatments for my clients.  I am committed to providing a nurturing environment where my clients are deeply relaxed and pampered.  I love watching my clients at the end of their treatment touch their newly tended skin and feel how lusciously moist it is and how luminous it looks. 

Teaching my clients how to care for their skin at home, selecting just the right products and approaches helps to extend the benefits of treatments, resulting in continued long-lasting improvement. 

My dedication to staying on top of emerging science and skincare trends takes me to conferences and classes throughout the year.  I intend to provide superior treatments to my clients like my signature Gua Sha experience.

I had my pre-wedding consultation and facial with Lisa, and had a wonderful experience. I have really sensitive oily skin, prone to breakouts. As a fellow skincare professional, I am extremely selective about who I trust to work on my skin for several reasons.  First, I have very sensitive skin.  Also, I know that using an overly aggressive approach to skincare can do more harm than good. More is not always better!
